Step 2: Complete Student Application, includes
- copy of student’s passport
- application supplements; certified transcript, personal statement in English, extracurricular survey
- two teacher recommendation letters, one from a math or science teacher AND the other from your English language teacher
- proof of English competency through SLEP or TOEFL results
- bank statement (required by US)
- student essay
Step 3: Schedule ‘face-to-face’ interview via the internet on a webcam. Skype, FaceTime, or WeChat can be used.
Step 4: Receive KIPA acceptance decision
If Accepted
Step 1: Student receives admission package
- Acceptance letter
- Invoice
- Part 2 of Application
Step 2: Notify KIPA of your decision
Step 3: Remit non-refundable deposit within 10 days
Step 4: Student receives I-20 from school
Step 5: Schedule your F-1 visa interview in your country at the US Embassy office and notify KIPA of interview date
Step 6: Full tuition balance due
Step 7: Submit Part 2 of Application with all medical information and immunization forms up to date
Step 8: Book flight to Pittsburgh, PA (PIT) and send flight confirmation to KIPA
Step 9: Order school uniforms
Step 10: Start school!
